Just one more case/problem with this driver in 11.1. Thank you all for helping me check this out. Since I kept the 11.0 release intact on another harddrive, and it works well enough, I’ll stay with that for now. Then consensus shows so far this latest release has showstopper problems on the gspca drivers. Furthermore I just had a look here Arch Linux Forums / Gspca and Kernel 2.6.27 but the proposed workaround for skype results in LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skypeĮRROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l1compat.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.Īny advice is greatly appreciated. Well, I really don’t know what that error message means but as it used to work with opensuse 10.3 and 11.0 and as we just tried the webcam with kopete on my flatmate’s kubuntu 8.10 with the same results, the problem may be more related to the new gspca kernel drivers than to openSUSE. This is some output “cat /var/log/messages” delivered: kernel: gspca: usb_submit_urb err -28 Usbcore 198656 7 gspca_spca561,gspca_main,usb_storage,usbhid,ehci_hcd,ohci_hcd Videodev 35328 2 gspca_main,compat_ioctl32 QuickCam Express PlusĪnd the driver is spca561 lsmod | grep spca My usb webcam is a lsusbĠ46d:092f Logitech, Inc. Kopete shows nothing, Skype is flickering in green an pink horizontal lines and cheese shows flickering plus a black rectangle in the bottom-right corner. Webcam is detected but I don’t see anything. Hi, just want to say that I have the same problem in openSUSE 11.1 kernel 2.6.27.7-9-default.
